This week’s Sunday Video pick is a tribute to Maila Nurmi courtesy of Beatriz Monteavaro, a Miami based artist whose new book, Quiet Village, was launched last week by [NAME] Publications. Maila Nurmi created and portrayed the world’s first horror host, Vampira, in 1954. The footage below is taken from Ed Wood’s PLAN 9 FROM OUTER SPACE. Maila left this world to embark on new adventures on 10th January 2008.
